- quattro with sport differential: permanent all-wheel

drive with self-locking center differential and sport differential on the rear axle. The conventional rear

differential has been enhanced by two superposition units with electronically controlled multi-plate

clutches. The intelligent quattro strategy continuously determines torque distribution designed for excellent driving dynamics and actively and variably distributes it to the rear wheels. When turning in or accelerating through a bend, torque is mainly directed to the outside wheel, pushing the vehicle into the turn. This helps the system counteract understeer at an early stage, with

RS-specific software tuning.
